Fantastic EOR setup

Lano is amazing! We just used their Employer of Record service for the first time, and it was so much simpler than I expected. The Digital Onboarding was super fast, and the support team helped with everything. They handled all the Statutory Contributions Management perfectly. We're definitely using them again for our next international hire! I'm telling everyone I know about this service.

Consistent service as always

Another solid experience with Lano. I've used their Global Payroll Consolidation for a few years now, and they're always reliable. This time, setting up a new employee in Portugal went smoothly, just like previous hires in other countries. The onboarding was quick, and the Local Tax Filing was handled without any hiccups. That consistency is why I keep coming back.

Detailed EOR and payroll experience

We implemented Lano's Employer of Record and Global Payroll Consolidation services a few months ago for our growing international team. The initial setup for EOR was fairly smooth, though it took about 8 business days to fully onboard our first employee in Germany, which was a bit longer than the estimate, but understandable given the paperwork. The Digital Onboarding process was intuitive, and the Employee Self-Service Portal has been a hit with our team members for managing their own details. We also integrated it with our existing HRIS, which was mostly painless thanks to their support team providing clear documentation. The Payroll Reporting features are comprehensive, giving us good oversight. International Payments have been on time, which is crucial. Their Compliance Management seems robust, covering local labor laws well. One small note: the initial response time from support for a complex tax question was about 24 hours, but the answer was thorough once it came through. Overall, it's a solid platform that delivers on its promises.

Easy to use platform

I used Lano for Contractor Management for the first time. It was pretty straightforward to get things set up, way easier than I thought it would be. Everything just made sense, no crazy jargon. Happy with how it went.

Good value, minor onboarding snag

We signed up for Lano's Contractor Management, and for the most part, it's been great. The Automated Invoicing feature really streamlined things for our freelancers, and the Multi-currency Wallet worked well for payments. I thought the pricing for the features we got was fair. The only small issue we ran into was with one contractor's initial Digital Onboarding. It took a couple of tries to get all their documents uploaded correctly, and the system flagged something incorrectly, which took a call to support to sort out. The support person was helpful, but it added an extra day to the process. Once that was done, everything else has been smooth sailing, and the platform has been reliable for our ongoing needs. Value for money is definitely there.

We're a small startup. Do they offer any special deals or discounts for new businesses?

B Brian Garcia 3 weeks ago
Yeah, they do. I got a startup discount when I signed up last year. Definitely mention it when you talk to them.

R Rachel Lopez 3 weeks ago
Pretty sure I saw something about a startup program. Doesn't hurt to ask their sales team during your demo call, that's usually where these things get discussed.

How does Lano compare to Deel for managing international contractors and making sure we're compliant with local laws?

P Paul Young 3 days ago
Both are strong on compliance. I liked Lano's interface a little better for compliance reporting, felt more intuitive. Deel is also good though.

J Jason Turner 2 days ago
Lano's EOR service is really solid for compliance. We've had zero issues with local labor laws in the countries we operate in. I heard good things about Deel too, but Lano just worked for us.

Are there any promo codes floating around for Lano? Trying to save a bit on the EOR setup fees.

B Brittany Roberts 2 weeks ago
Public promo codes are super rare for Lano. Best bet is usually to ask about discounts during the demo. They offer things like free months or setup fee waivers sometimes.

I didn't find any codes when I signed up. I got a discount for committing to annual billing, which saved us a good chunk. You might also ask about startup discounts if that applies to you.

What's the typical discount range? If I commit to annual billing, how much can I expect to save compared to monthly?

B Betty Rodriguez 4 days ago
We saved around 15-20% by going annual. It was a decent chunk of change over the year.

E Emma R. 2 days ago
Yeah, that 15-20% range sounds right. It's definitely worth it if you plan on sticking with them for a while. Just ask during your demo.

Thinking of switching to Lano for our global team. How long does it usually take to get a new contractor set up and ready to go?

M Michelle Brown 2 weeks ago
From what I remember, onboarding was pretty quick. We got someone in Brazil set up in like 3-4 days last month.

B Brian 1 week ago
Yeah, it's pretty efficient. They have a good process for it. Maybe a week max, depending on the country and if the contractor has all their docs ready.

Is Lano legit? I keep seeing ads for global payroll platforms and want to make sure this isn't some fly-by-night operation.

Z Zach Campbell 1 month ago
Totally legit. We've been using them for a year now, zero issues with payroll or compliance. Big company too, not some startup.

They're a real company, based in Germany I think. Been around for a bit. Our finance team did a deep dive before we signed up and everything checked out.

Does anyone know if Lano supports payments in multiple currencies? We have contractors in like 5 different countries.

D Donna Mitchell 5 days ago
Yep, they do. We pay people in Euros, USD, and GBP all through Lano. It's pretty seamless.
2
L Lisa Flores 4 days ago
Pretty sure that's one of their main features. Multi-currency wallet and payments. Should be fine for your setup.

I'm looking at Lano versus Remote. Has anyone used both and can give me a quick comparison, especially for EOR services?

S Sean H. 4 weeks ago
We switched from Remote to Lano. Lano felt a bit more personalized with their account management, and the pricing was better for us after some negotiation.

B Ben Robinson 4 weeks ago
Both are good, honestly. Lano had better integration options for our existing HR system, which was a big plus for us. Remote was fine, but Lano just clicked better.
